PrimeBOT’s Qiyuan T1: A Transformable Humanoid Robot That Walks on Four Legs and Two

PrimeBOT, the consumer robotics brand operating under Shangwei Qiyuan, has unveiled the Qiyuan T1 — what it calls the world’s first transformable personal robot. The pitch: a single machine that autonomously shifts between a wheel-foot humanoid robot, built for quiet indoor navigation, and a four-legged quadruped designed to handle grass, gravel, and stairs. No human intervention required. No pause button between forms. One Chassis, Two Bodies

The T1 shares its entire structural, sensing, and powertrain system across both locomotion forms — a design bet that sets it apart from every robot dog and humanoid currently on the market.

PrimeBOT says the T1 runs on what it calls a Transformer-based cross-form architecture — one integrated chassis handling everything from sensing to propulsion across both configurations. In quadruped mode, the robot reportedly tackles uneven outdoor terrain where wheels would fail. Switch to humanoid mode, and you get zero-radius turning through hallways and tight living rooms. According to the company, the robot keeps moving and interacting during the transition itself, rather than stopping and restarting mid-reconfiguration.
