Wedding Thank You Cards

In September 2024, Edgar and I got engaged. Little did we know the journey we had just begun.

The day we bought our rings, we came home to find out that we would not be able to renew our lease. We had long term plans of moving to Denver, so we took that as a sign to make our way to the mountains.

In our adventure, we took on the personas of Frog and Toad from the classic children's books. We have always related to their quiet friendship and love of simple adventures. After one of the first major obstacles in our journey, I wrote the following story to shine light in our darkness:

Our wedding came together in some of our lowest moments. We did not expect to get married so soon. We were still figuring out jobs, settling into a new city, and facing unexpected challenges. Yet, when we toured our new home and found that the previous tenant had left a wedding arch in the garage, we looked at each other and knew — we had to get married in our backyard.

We put together an intimate ceremony with our immediate family and a few close friends. We were blown away by the support, generosity, and love of our community. Each conversation, visit, and gift helped us stay afloat in some of the deepest emotional seas.

Sending thank you notes has been on our minds every day since our wedding. We bought the materials the morning after — but what began as a simple project grew into something much more personal over the past year. Each card became its own small piece of art, drawn from the Frog and Toad universe we had built for ourselves, and grouped to honor your individual place in our community, just as our community itself is connected through the love shared on that day.

We are so excited to finally send our gratitude out into the world.

As we look to the future, we are excited to keep building a life rooted in this community. We look forward to many more celebrations, conversations, and love shared ahead.
