How do you guys find references when designing logos?

I’ve now had my second research lab asking me for a logo, and every time I hit a wall trying to find references and get the creative process going. I feel like I’m staring at everything and nothing at the same time. How do you usually go about finding references when you need to design a logo or a visual identity from scratch?
