From Anthropic Toward Pi (for now)

I really see this moment as an inflection point (as so many recent moments have been). And actually that’s overstating it - the moment was a few weeks ago with Opus 4.7. I see us moving towards another period of tool flux.

From Anthropic Link to heading

Anthropic has been having a bad month.

• Mythos was announced! red.anthropic.com/2026/mythos-preview

• Due to safety concerns, access was restricted

• The model was accessed without authorization: wired.com/story/security-news-this-week...authorized-access-to-anthropics-mythos

• Claude Code leak axios.com/2026/03/31/anthropic-leaked-source-code-ai

• 4.7 release

• New tokenizer is uses significantly more tokens

• ClaudeCode is temporarily removed from Pro tier news.ycombinator.com/item

• Apparently this was a “test”

• Bugs occur: anthropic.com/engineering/april-23-postmortem

• Uptime: status.claude.com (Which is well documented to be inaccurate)

This isn’t a comprehensive list, just what I could list off the top of my head. Avid users can probably point to at least another 3-5 issues. Many focused on how quickly changes burned through their weekly and daily quotas.
