Would it annoy you if an animated adaptation of a fantasy work didn’t bother differentiating between East Asians and white people?

I have been hearing calls for a lot of East Asian fantasies to get animated adaptations. Even an anime. I am quite torn on this. On one hand an anime could easily convey all of the special effects that they may not be able to do in a live action. On the other hand anime is known for Japanese characters not looking Japanese. Or at least not bothering to differentiate the White and East Asian characters. This has been a hot topic in western animation as well, especially anime inspired western animation. Usual
