Anthropic Launches Personal Finance Feature for Claude

Anthropic said it is launching a personal finance feature for Claude, one of the top areas that users ask the chatbot for guidance, ahead of its planned IPO.

Users can connect their bank accounts to Claude through Plaid to grant read-only access, meaning Claude won’t be able to move, manage or invest the money. Anthropic said it isn’t designed to give investment advice, and conversations in the “Personal Finance hub” aren’t used to train its models.

OpenAI rolled out a personal finance feature in ChatGPT in May, following its acquisitions of personal finance startups Hiro and Roi.
