After forgetting one promise too many on client calls, I built a bird that remembers them for me (Mac, on-device transcription)
Solo dev from Italy here. For a year I kept embarrassing myself on client calls: "I'll send the revised quote by Friday", then two weeks later, on the next call, zero memory of it. Note-taking bots didn't help: the notes exist, nobody re-reads them before the call So I built TellPip. It's a small Mac app with a bird (Pip) that: - listens to the call from your Mac (no bot joins the meeting, works with Zoom/Meet/Teams/whatever) - transcribes on the Mac with a local model (25 European languages, works offline) - when someone asks you something, you press one key and it suggests the answer from your own documents (price list, contracts, Notion, Drive…) and from past calls with that person - after the call it writes notes + the follow-up email, and keeps a card per person/company with what was promised - next call with the same client, it reminds you what you promised before they do - if you share your screen, it's not visible Your audio stays on your Mac. Always. Transcription and search run on the computer, and if a call shouldn't be remembered, one switch and it's forgotten. It's Mac only (Apple Silicon), free trial of 5 sessions × 10 minutes with no card, then from €25/month. Launched today on Product Hunt too. Curious about two things: Which kind of call would you use it for first: clients, your boss, interviews, sales? What's the one feature you'd want next?
