I got tired of star ratings, so I built a Spotify app where my records fight each other

Every music app wants me to rate things 1–5 stars. I never could. But ask me “which of these two would you rather spin right now?” and I know in a second. So with Claude as my coding partner I built Charty , a personal hit parade for my Spotify albums and songs: 🎧 Duels on two spinning turntables. Two records, one question: Which would you spin? You can play them, drop the needle into any track, hear the crackle. Then tap the one you’d keep. 🪜 Levels, not rankings. Winners climb, nobody ever falls, no ties allowed. It remembers every result (and chains: A beat B, B beat C → it won’t ask A vs C). The lonely record at the very top is your deathbed record . 🔍 Discover. Every week Claude reads my taste and leaves new picks, each with one line on why. I’m listening to Headless Heroes of the Apocalypse by Eugene McDaniels right now and I have goosebumps. Right now it’s just for me and a few friends: it runs on Spotify, and Spotify’s developer rules keep it small. So, honest question: would you use something like this? What would you want it to do?
