Make my tools (Claude Code / Codex) keep auto re-learning the same stuff in our team, how do you deal with it? [i will not promote]

Hey everyone! We use Claude Code / Codex every day on a few projects with my team. Claude Code keeps notes for itself for every repo. In one of my repos it has over 65+ of them by now, things like "don't check Vercel deploys with curl too often, you get a 403" or "start Chrome without GPU, otherwise long screenshots come out blank". The problem is only Claude on my laptop sees these notes. Sharing on github it's hard to maintain and verify. Codex doesn't know any of it. And when a colleague opens the same repo, their agent starts from zero and hits the same problems again. How do you handle this in your team? One big AGENTS md in the repo, a wiki, something else? Or you just live with it? (We're building something around this, so I'm a bit biased. No links, I just want to hear what people really do.) Many thanks!
