I had planned to add some of the October 2031 TIPS today to a ladder I'm building since it was issued today, but at Fidelity the only ask quote is for min quantity 10, and I only want to buy one or two.



Schwab has a much deeper book:



And as is often the case, best price/yield is for min qty 1. However, note that the yield for min qty 10 at Fido is a bit higher than the best yield at Schwab--it actually just increased to 2.248, so about one basis point higher than at Schwab. Both yields keep changing, but the Fido best is always about a basis point higher than the Schwab best. What matters to me though is min qty 1, so we'll see what Fido comes up with for that, hopefully later today, but if not, I'll have to wait until next week.
