I am pro electric bikes being registered with plates, almost everybody casually speeds I am ok with that. But my own estimate is if you watch an e-bike for 10 seconds 50% chance you will see the rider break a law. But a recent study at a local school found 97% of the bikes are not legal electric bikes, they have uprated motors, throttle cables, no pedals etc. But cops don't pull over bikes, they know they take off and nobody wants to be the cop that has to pick up the rider that ran into a bus while going the wrong way on one way lane(an actual recent example). So plates on bikes the cop can take a photo and go to the registered address no plate then they have a real reason to chase them instead of no helmet or they just rode through/across a pedestrian crossing while pedestrians where using it.

Ehh that was a lot, but I believe it is possible to be against automated surveillance and still be in favour of additional survelliance that may catch minor criminals but also save lives.
