Vinyl Cache 9.1 is the new Long Term Support (LTS) branch, 6.0 EOL April 15th, 2027

2026-10-29

The maintainer team has decided to make the current 9.1 branch the new long term support (LTS) branch and end support for 6.0 on April 15th, 2027.

We are also considering to reduce the remaining support for 6.0 to very serious security issues, so we are encouraging all Vinyl Cache users to upgrade to 9.1.

We are also going to release 9.1.1 with bug fixes soon.

Version 6.0.0 was released on 2018-03-15, so we will have supported the old LTS for 9 years and one month.
