A fresh look for Ente Photos
We've wanted to bring a few of these features to Ente Photos for a long time. With 1.3.66, they're finally here.
Mosaic layout and pinch gestures
The gallery now has a mosaic layout that shows your photos in their original proportions. Landscapes stay wide and portraits stay tall, so the framing you chose when taking a photo stays with it as you browse.
You can also pinch in or out to switch layouts and change how many photos fit on your screen. Give a few photos more room, or fit more into view when you're looking for something.
Redesigned albums
We've redesigned the album view with larger covers and quick buttons for slideshows and maps. Open an album from a trip, play it as a slideshow, or look back at the places you visited.
More tools in the image editor
You can now add text to your photos, with a choice of fonts, colors, backgrounds, and alignment. Add a place name to a holiday photo, mark a date, or leave a note for the person you're sending it to.
We've also added a straighten tool, for all the horizons that looked level when you took the photo.
There's more
- Photos and videos are prepared for upload more quickly.
- You can now use Ente Photos in Korean.
- Transitions between the gallery and photo viewer are smoother.
You can find the rest in the full release notes.
We'd love to hear how the new gallery feels on your phone. Check out the app, take it for a scroll, and tell us what you think.
