Is DeepSeek smarter than Claude in terms of coding skills?

I'm literally a vibe-coder and I've been experimenting with DeepSeek to save costs since even Claude Max is not enough for my building needs. Asking seasoned developers and engineers: do you think DeepSeek's output is better than Claude, in terms of code quality and design?
