Gauge freedom and mixed states
About gauge freedom, we know that in a magnetic field we can define the vector A up to a differentiable function and that changing this gauge transforms the eigenstates with a phase factor (so that probabilities remain unchanged).
I know this to be true for pure states. Does it extend to mixed states as well?
