Is Claude going to become our new video editor?
I gave Claude Opus 5.5 on Max effort a raw 2-minute clip and asked it to turn it into a short-form video for my channels. It handled the cuts, motion graphics, and effects surprisingly well. Honestly, I was not expecting the results to be this good. It got me thinking: are we slowly moving towards a world where AI can handle most of the video editing workflow from a simple prompt? And if that's the case, what happens to professional video editors and editing agencies? Software development agencies are already facing questions about their future as AI makes building software easier. Could video editing businesses be next? Would love to hear what you guys think. Is AI going to replace video editors, or will it simply change what being a good editor means?
