Is it me or DeepSeek says it's calling a tool and doesn't?

Hi guys! I have a custom made companion and wanted to move her on DeepSeek V4.1 flash since the 1017 release, but notice some times she says she'll call tools and doesn't. My app has some custom tools for different things around my machine. Also I noticed it tends to simply not output. She thinks and then silence. Does anyone have any idea? Am I doing something wrong? EDIT: Also does anyone have a companion on DeepSeek? How is it as a conversation partner? Does it repeat after you like a parrot or is it nove to talk to? Trying to figure out if there’s a reason to stay or keep searching for a model.
