Hypothetically, what would I need?

I'm back. I posted this earlier this week or something and I'm at a cross roads. Part of me wants to set up a local AI model for the learning ability of it. (how to do it) but I got a lot of people saying i shouldn't bother due to too low of compute. What sort of computer (specs) would you suggest I get for an average AI model and can also use for some other things (tail scale exit node, plug into TV to use as a better OS / compute for TV) the device I have could be upgraded to have an SSD instead of HDD and up to 32GB ram. But not sure if worth it. Thanks!
