How can I make an embedding?

Heya, new to deepseek. Got an API and put it into chatboxai.app . I wanted to create a knowledge database with lots of PDFs ,but it can't parse it locally, so I can't use them for a project as deepseek can't read and use them Anybody knows what to do here ? ​ How can I make it usable?
