Would love some help on what I can do to better improve my resume!

I keep hearing a mix of using a non-design resume vs designed. I know the issue is their hiring system sometimes not being able to read the information correctly. I’ve also heard hiring managers be thrown off by seeing a resume that has no design elements to it. Please help! Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated.
