Paying for the top plan and getting less every week

I'm on Claude Max (20x), the most expensive plan. Over the past few weeks it has got steadily worse: usage drains faster than ever, quality has dropped, and planned work doesn't get finished. The worst part: Anthropic gave Max users a $250 credit for cloud sessions, and their own help page says cloud sessions use that credit first, before touching your plan limits. I built in cloud sessions for two days. The credit is still at $250 of $250. My plan got drained instead: within nine hours of my weekly reset, my Fable allowance was 100% used and I was at 59% of my weekly limit. Support is an AI bot. It first told me the problem must be my fault. When I pushed back with screenshots, it admitted the behaviour doesn't match how the credit is supposed to work. It still told me the lost usage can't be restored. I had to escalate repeatedly just to get passed to a human. I'll update this review if Anthropic fixes it and restores my usage. Until then: if you're paying for Max, check your usage page carefully, because you may not be getting what you paid for.
