Ultima launches paired-end sequencing and doubles output with Solaris Max

Ultima Genomics launched commercial paired-end sequencing for its UG200 Series and made Solaris 2.0 Max consumables available on October 20th, according to its ASHG 2026 announcement. Ultima says the new workflow produces up to 20 billion reads per wafer, twice the output of its existing Solaris 2.0 workflow, and can enable a 30x human genome for $60. The launch extends founder and CEO Gilad Almogy's work on scaling complex technology while lowering costs and increasing output.
