Rhapsody in Clawd

I couldn't sleep a few nights ago and had a random idea to use Claude to animate a short film with Rhapsody in Blue as the background music (inspired by Fantasia). It's all vibe-coded with Opus 5.5 using Remotion, a public domain version of the track, and ElevenLabs for some sound effects. I wanted the visual effects from the Bojack Horseman episode "Stupid Piece of Sh*t", but I don't have any animation experience so I struggled to articulate the vision in my mind. Eventually I found a YouTube clip and told Claude to use yt-dlp to analyze it (now I know it's called boiling lines). We brainstormed the storyline, and then it took 8 cuts to get to this version. Very impressed by its ability to time animation to the music. I skimmed John Lasseter's (former Pixar CEO) technical animation paper , but Claude had mostly followed those principles on its own. It's not winning awards or making me any money, but it was a fun weekend project that put a smile on my face.
