Opus 5.5 refused to draft/write an example of a paragraph in my thesis

I was working on my thesis with Opus 5.5, and what struck me was that it refused to draft an example paragraph for me to build on, because my university’s constraints on AI usage were clear, and the model was aware of them. The issue was raised, the risk was explained, and the decision was left to me. That’s the kind of guardrail we all want.
