Good morning. Chief information officers are under mounting pressure to make good on the promise of AI, but few have much to show for it yet.

Thirteen percent of CIOs report that their organizations realized significant or transformational value from AI, according to a Gartner survey of 2,002 CIOs and technology executives released this week at Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo in Orlando, Fla. A vanguard of CIOs has a unique set of practices and controls that helps their companies reach that value, according to Gartner. More on that below.
