We made an open-source POS for self-hosted Medusa stores

Hi everyone, Many people run their online shop on a self-hosted Medusa backend, but there's no simple way to sell in person from the same store. We wanted a till that just works with the shop's own data and the hardware shops already have, like receipt printers, cash drawers and barcode scanners. So we built Medusa POS . It's a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux. It connects straight to your own Medusa server through a small plugin, so your products, stock and orders all stay in one place. A shop owner can set it up without calling a developer. We first shared it in April, and since then we've put out 19 releases. It now handles checkout with a barcode scanner, cash and card payments, returns and exchanges, a cash drawer at the end of the day, and printed receipts. It's free and open source (Apache-2.0), built with React and Tauri, and works with Medusa 2.15 or newer. We use AI tools to help with development, but every change is reviewed and tested by our team before it ships.
