is that the norm or am i missing something?

hi folks im relatively new to this Ai things (my major was comp-sci but i switched to chemistry) anyways,is it normal to use that much tokens by only translating a website?? i had a website project that i did back in college before switching majors,to translate it only it costed about 100m tokens in 40mins.. is that the normal? well its relatively cheap but its NOT gonna be cheap if it kept burning 1$/hour claude sub is basically better that way can someone explain?
