I built SLI Vault - an offline-first library for saving things you find online 🔥 Looking for contributors! Hey everyone! 👋 I'm a college student learning by building real projects, and SLI Vault is one of my attempts to turn what I'm learning into something useful. Honestly, this project is vibe-coded. I used AI tools to help me build it because college doesn't teach us everything we need to create real-world applications. I wanted to explore things beyond the classroom, learn how an actual project comes together, and challenge myself to build something of my own. It's a small project and my first attempt at building something like this, so I know it's not perfect. I'm still learning, fixing things, and figuring out how to make it better. That's also why I'm sharing it here! 😅 ✨ What it does 🔖 Save and organize useful resources in one place. 📚 Browse your library, collections, and favorites. 🔍 Search for saved items whenever you need them. 🔒 Keep your library private with local storage. 📱 Use a dedicated Android app alongside a companion website. 🛠️ Tech stack Android app: Flutter and Dart Website: React, TypeScript, and Vite Core idea: Privacy-first, local storage, and an offline-friendly experience. 🤝 I'd love to collaborate! I'm building this independently and would love to connect with other developers who are interested in the idea. Whether you're a beginner like me or someone with more experience, I'd appreciate any help with: 📱 Android UI/UX and accessibility 💻 Website development and responsive design 🧪 Testing, bug reports, and code reviews 💡 Feature ideas and architecture feedback 📝 Documentation and making the project easier to contribute to You don't need to contribute code. Even testing the app, pointing out problems, or suggesting improvements would help me learn a lot. 💬 I'd genuinely love your feedback! Would you use an app like this? What would you improve first? Are there any obvious mistakes or bad practices I should learn to fix? If you've built projects using AI coding tools, what helped you move beyond just generating code and actually understand what you were building? I'm not claiming this is some perfect product. I'm sharing it as a learning journey, hoping to improve my skills, learn from the community, and maybe find a few people who'd like to build something together. 🔗 Project website: sahaya-savari.github.io/sli-vault 🔗 GitHub: github.com/sahaya-savari/sli-vault Thanks for taking a look.
