There's never been a better time to go into math

I’ve been thinking about AI in math for a while, and since the whole math world has been lit up talking about it, I wanted to share a few thoughts.

I found it helpful to simply list out the various parts of what a mathematician does, list out why math is valuable, and list out where the funding comes from. From there, we can think about what happens if AI is able to do various things that mathematicians can, and what that implies for the value and the funding.
