Do you ever think about where people trusting Claude leads, generations from now?

Former history teacher here. I use Claude a lot, and something I keep coming back to is how much people already lean on it: advice, reassurance, help thinking through hard decisions. Historically, people have handed authority to whatever seemed wiser than themselves. Priests, kings, institutions, experts. Usually not all at once, but slowly, until it was just how things were. So I’m curious how others here see it: Do you think trust in AI keeps deepening across generations? Is there a point where that trust starts to look more like faith? What would we lose, and is there anything we’d gain?
