Need advice fam

Is getting into visual design at 25 is a good thought? I'm an architecture drop out and then took a gap of a few years due to some medical and personal issues so now I'm starting again career wise thinking of pursuing design so I have a few questions plz do share your advice in the comments Does a degree play a role in hunting jobs or skills pay off ? Do these online courses provide value? Like a 6 month graphic design course , ui/ux course ? Or self learning is the way to go? I can learn on my own I believe and I'm familiar with photoshop and illustrator anyways. What's the job market like? Would I be considered for a junior role for a 30k offer or do I have to complete unpaid internships? And most important question how do I learn visual design or brand designing industry geeks plz share your experience and advices Thanks
