S&P 500 Futures Rise in Premarket Trading; Lennar, Humana Lead
With U.S. stock markets set to open in two hours, Lennar Corp. Cl B (LEN.B) was up 19.1% in pre-market trading, and Humana Inc. (HUM) was up 15.0%.
Crown Castle Inc. (CCI), SBA Communications Corp. (SBAC), and Applied Optoelectronics Inc. (AAOI) were all posting gains of at least 7%. In early trading, T-Mobile US Inc. (TMUS) and AT&T Inc. (T) had posted declines, falling 7.8% and 6.8%, respectively.
Meanwhile S&P 500 futures were up 0.40%, with futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.15%. The Cboe Volatility Index futures were up 1.33%.
In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were down 1.50%, and gold futures were up 1.21%. Bitcoin climbed 0.94% to $82,475.

In the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 was down 0.47%, while the Dow was up 0.10%. Stocks in Asia were mixed overnight, with Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index down 0.02% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index up 0.05%.
In afternoon trading, stocks in Europe are up, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index increasing 0.93% and the FTSE 100 Index increasing 0.98% from the previous close.
