Google might win bigly from AI software-cloning. $GOOGL

I think GOOGL might be one of the cleaner winners from this weird AI software-cloning wave. If you aren't following what's happening over the past 2 days, go check X, youtube, whatever. I work in FAANG and have never seen anything like it. Its awesome. REA, “Reverse Engineer Anything,” is blowing up. It gives AI agents reverse engineering tools so they can inspect apps, binaries, APKs, Electron apps, games, etc. and explain how features work without source code. My X feed is full of people using AI to recreate software and games and make them free to the world. Examples: Some guy recreated Adobe's whole stack in Rust and open sourced all the products under different names for anyone to use. People are cloning and putting well known games in the browser for anyone to play. I was skeptical so I tried one and played COD Zombies on my computer with zero issues. Felt like the game 1-1. This feels like a Napster moment for software (and I am a 90s kid who destroyed my computer downloading sweet Napster tunes and viruses). It is trending heavy on GitHub and this is reminding me of the OpenClaw period. preview.redd.it/zs7dowj24buh1.png I don't think “all software goes to zero.” But if AI makes it way easier to inspect and recreate product behavior, then a lot of app software moats start looking weaker. That’s why I keep coming back to Google. Google is not really selling the app that gets cloned. Google owns the rails where all of this is happening: Search, Chrome, Android, Gemini, Google Cloud Workspace Play Store. Massive distribution. If software features get commoditized, the value probably shifts to models, distribution, identity, cloud runtime, security, and whoever controls where users/devs actually do the work. Also GOOGL has lagged some of the other names and it's just chopping with earnings on 11/4, but those are my best setups historically. Market itself looks shaky, so maybe this is a terrible timing. But as a thesis, I think “AI makes software easier to clone, Google owns the rails” is worth discussing. I think people will try and stop whats happening, but they will probably fail. Can't fight the signal. Am I off base here? Does this seem real and early or like hype? preview.redd.it/xkwja9i74buh1.png
