Welcome Home

Apple has announced a product launch for October 13, alongside a small, in-person “Apple Experience” for select members of the media in New York. The format echoes the MacBook Neo launch, where guests attended a presentation and went hands-on with the new laptop as it simultaneously made its public debut online.

This time, we’re expecting a range of home products, including updates to the HomePod mini and Apple TV, along with the long-rumoured “HomePad” smart home hub. The latter is the most intriguing, reportedly pairing a speaker base with a 6-inch display, smart user recognition, and support for widgets and select apps. Rumours suggest the hardware has been ready for years, waiting in the wings while Apple worked out the kinks in its AI-powered Siri, which launched earlier this year.

Apple teased the upcoming event with a video of two people stitching this beautiful needlepoint Apple logo, so I put together a wallpaper to tide us over until the event. Enjoy!
