2026 seems to have a very unusual occurrence.

Will 2026 have the second worst performance for BND or a total bond market index fund?

2022 was the worse at -13.25.

This year it's -2.7.

1994- third worse -2.66

How many "very unusual occurrence" are we going to have?

Has there been a paradigms shift? Is the risk higher for a total bond market index funds now? And does that mean we should expect higher returns for this added risk?
