i will not promote Why do all my ideas suck :(

Just want to be right for once. I know starting from a solution and then looking for customers is a bad Idea, and I truly feel like I'm not doing that. However, anytime I discuss a product with friends it turns into a 10 minute rant where they basically call me stupid and naive or imply I don't understand people. Makes me feel like shit. Am I just that stupid? How is it I can't think of a single useful thing.
