i built a claude code mod that puts animated pixel art above your prompt

claude code mods fully launched, here's a mod i built in preview. it's called pixelband what it does: it puts an animated pixel art scene in the strip above your prompt, and the scene reacts to claude. while claude works the rain gets heavier or the stars hit warp speed, a finished turn gets a little flash, and an error makes it glitch. there are 7 scenes (rainy city, space, aurora, fire, code rain, aquarium, and michelangelo's creation of adam with a spark between the fingers), or you can use your own image or gif. /pixelband opens a menu to pick one. it works in the terminal and in the desktop app's code tab, runs locally, and uses no tokens how claude code helped: the idea and design were mine, and i built it with claude code. claude wrote most of the code, including the scene animations, a gif decoder, and a colour fix for mac's terminal app, which was turning night skies grey. i tested everything in my own terminals and sent things back until they looked right free to try: it's free and open source. you need claude code 2.1.287 or newer ( claude update ), then: claude plugin marketplace add furqan-khan07/pixelband claude plugin install pixelband@pixelband open a session and type /pixelband github.com/furqan-khan07/pixelband mods seem to be rolling out gradually, so if nothing shows up they might not be on for your account yet. feedback and scene ideas welcome
