S&P 500 Futures Decline in Premarket Trading; Primo Brands, Liberty Media Series C Lead
With U.S. stock markets set to open in two hours, Primo Brands Corp. (PRMB) was up 14.9% in pre-market trading, and Liberty Media Corp. Series C (FWONK) was up 8.5%.
OceanaGold Corp. (OGC), Alliant Energy Corp. (LNT), and Vulcan Materials Co. (VMC) were all posting gains of at least 7%. In early trading, Granite Construction Inc. (GVA) and Williams-Sonoma Inc. (WSM) had posted declines, falling 11.7% and 6.1%, respectively.
Meanwhile S&P 500 futures were down 0.16%, with futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.20%. The Cboe Volatility Index futures were down 0.56%.
In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were up 1.60%, while gold futures were up 0.70%. Bitcoin rose 0.32% to $83,829.

In the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 and the Dow were down 0.17% and 0.26%, respectively. Stocks in Asia were up overnight, with Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index up 1.94% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index rising 0.31%.
In afternoon trading, stocks in Europe are mixed, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index falling 0.06% and the FTSE 100 Index rising 0.05% from the previous close.
