Website Design, App Work, and Much-Needed Rain (Week 39, 2026)

The vibe

A satisfying week of making things, with some much-needed rain to close it out.

Highlights

• 🎨 I did some design work on the website this week. It was nice to spend time on how the site feels and looks, alongside the writing.
• 💻 I kept working on my next app, including time with the iPhone Duo in mind. I am not ready to get into the details yet, but it is moving along.
• 🎨 I created Catppuccin themes for Xcode. I have been enjoying having that palette available in my development setup, and it was fun to make the themes fit Xcode.
• 🛠️ I am still working on getting Trayage into the Mac App Store. There are a few more things to work through before it is there.
• 🌧️ We got quite a bit of rain toward the end of the week. It was great, and we really needed it.
• ☕ I tried a pumpkin pie frappe from my local coffee shop. It was better than I expected, though I am not sure it beats the other flavors. Probably worth trying once.

• Security Signal Weekly: September 19–25, 2026 covers ten stories with urgent patching, exploitation, and defender impact in mind.
• I boosted The Geek Tribune’s post about 40 years of macOS buttons, which links to a Macworld look at how the buttons have changed. That caught my eye after spending time on the Catppuccin themes for Xcode.
