Bloom CEO Says Growth Goals Intact Despite AI Slowdown Concerns

Bloom Energy marked its 25th anniversary by ringing the New York Stock Exchange opening bell, just days after joining the S&P 500, and used the moment to highlight its role in powering AI infrastructure. CEO K.R. Sridhar said Bloom’s on-site power systems are becoming a standard solution as demand rises for data centers, factories, and hospitals. He speaks with Romaine Bostick on “The Close.”

Bloom Energy Corp. Chief Executive Officer KR Sridhar says he’s confident that “speed bumps” in the buildout of artificial-intelligence infrastructure won’t hurt the company’s growth plans.

Bloom, a fuel cell manufacturer that was recently added to the S&P 500, has enjoyed booming demand from power-hungry data centers. But its shares have been volatile recently amid swings in investor sentiment on AI’s prospects.

“Could there be bumps along the road in terms of a slight slowdown? The answer may be yes,” Sridhar said in a Bloomberg TV interview Tuesday. While some data centers will face delays, “we have enough of a portfolio that we are confident in the numbers we project.”

The company plans to double its manufacturing capacity to 2 gigawatts by the end of 2026 and projects sales between $3.9 billion and $4.2 billion after several upgrades this year.
