Has using AI caused you grief in marketing? [I will not promote]

I work on a few projects which includes building with AI, which is code and sometimes art, and rarely some music. Getting quite a bit of push back when I attempt to talk to others for marketing or collab, mostly around the use of AI (the customers dont seem to care as much?) Just earlier today, reached out to a content creator and the response was basically along the lines of "will not work with anyone that steals assets from others", after I declared I do use AI to generate code and art. I didn't really get it at first, but after a few lines of not so kind words I realised what they meant is basically AI Art == theft. But apparently "code is fine", I can write all the code with AI and that is completely acceptable. That just seems pretty hypocrtical to me? I write code myself professionally, if AI learns from my code and uses it in its output, I really don't feel too strongly about it. So long as it learns the right things, and helps me build better in the future, I'd almost encourage that (to an extent). Question I have is whether this is because the niche I am working with (creative and Indie types for this particular project), or is this a widely spread phenomenon? Is anyone else getting grief because AI has been used in their product?
