Opus 5.5

There was this unverified claim that OpenAI believed Anthropic would have no response to their latest Astra aka GPT-6 model. But then came Opus 5.5 released right before GPT 6 Sol and Luna, I think Anthropic completely sniped and stole the show with this release. Opus 5.5, after playing around with it, gives me that « you will only know when you try it » moment. It’s very good, I have the $20 plan and I can use this model way more than I could with prior Opus models. IMO it wipes the floor with every other models right now, including Astra. The marketing around the release is also interesting, there is no big claims about AGI era and whatever bullshit that means unlike the Astra release. I don’t know what they fed Opus 5.5 to be this good but I’m somewhat at awe. Now I’m very much interested in what they have planned for Haiku 5.5. I wonder if Sonnet 5.5 will have the same outcome as GPT Terra or not.
