DeepSeek raised prices up to 4.5x and kept its customers. Does AI end up like the phone in your pocket or split into a free tier and a top tier in 10 years?

I read that DeepSeek has raised its prices by 2.3 - 4.5 times but customers stayed. It made me wonder about our next next generation. Free basic AI seems likely to keep getting better. Governments are already paying for it (for example, Malta gives citizens a year of ChatGPT Plus). But people who are rich and using the top tier might turn it into a machine that earns more money. Do you think we will end up with roughly the same AI for everyone like phones or a split into two between free and top tier? Or something else entirely?
