It is scary thinking the era of these subscriptions will come to an end not long from now

This is just one of the many large sessions I have orchestrated on the $100 plan in the prev. week and I am planning to jump to $200 already next billing cycle. Opus 5.5 is so good. And there have been a bazillion post about it already and this is one more. Like I am loving it. It talks in a way I understand. It gets shit done and it understands what I want AND need. And I never had a serious problem with Opus 5 to begin with, maybe found it a little harder to understand. In the past week alone I have burnt thousands of dollars worth of tokens at API pricing. And before anyone gets started, yes I know the API pricing is not what it costs, yada yada yada, but the thing is these companies can charge even that and get away with that. So API is what these companies will always pit subscriptions against. I don't think it is "if" subscriptions will go away. It is "when". And I am so fucking used to it, this is like drugs. I am dreading the day when this free for all comes to an end.
