Is helvetica still great for everything clean?

Ok, I'll admit it's been a while since my design days, but I remember there was this huge debate around if Helvetica is actually great or it's a bit soulless and overused. Now several years later, I wonder if that clean simple form can be the right direction or not, specially in the noisy ai era where everything's so maximal and far from perfect. Lmk what you guys think.
