Looking for advice on warm intros to pre-seed investors [i will not promote]

Hi everyone. Hoping this is okay to ask. I’m at pre-seed and trying to figure out the best way to get warm introductions to angels or early investors who care about AI agent infrastructure, developer tools, or open-source infra. If you’ve done this before, what actually worked? Cold outreach vs warm intros, how you asked mutuals without making it awkward, and any red flags to avoid when requesting an intro.
