Local cam recording, the parts nobody reviews: scrub-back, export, day-long scrubbing

Going from cloud to local storage for the cams. Before I pick the hardware I want the ugly details. When you scroll back three days in the timeline, does it drag? Exporting a clip for the police: how many taps, and does it land on your phone as a normal video file? Scrubbing through a full day of footage at 4am trying to find the thing that woke you up: does it keep up or stutter? I review footage maybe twice a month, always after something happens, so the review experience is basically the entire product for me. Self-hosted and hub-storage people, what's your honest daily-driver report?
