Do you run any "testing only" open source stack?

Let's put this forward first with a good example: VyOS Stream - the "technology preview" and "quality gate" release of an otherwise excellent: vyos.io/vyos-universal-router I understand why companies do this, I really do, but then when it comes to the target group: "users, integrators, and developers of external tools can prepare their environments and projects for the future LTS release and help us identify and fix issues" I cannot help it, but is this really also actual "users" kind-of-release? I would think of it as if Debian was only letting us download its testing release, only worse, because VyOS Stream only comes out every quarter or so, so you will miss any hotfix, which on a network OS, misses the mark, so to say. Do you run any software like this, i.e. its "stream" edition? What value do you see in it (being open source) and how do you mitigate the risks?
