The real reason Trump is standing behind AI — and the latest example of why that might turn out to be a bad idea

I have no time to write more, but these two things just crossed my desk at the same moment.

1. NYT just reported Trump is downplaying AI fears (and presumably resisting regulation) for economic reasons:

I literally told the US Senate that inaccurate information generated AI might lead to an accidental war. Here we are.

We may not get as lucky next time.
