I remember taping his radio show on to my cassettes so I could listen at my leisure. I still use his phrase "being in the cat birds seat". He was one of a kind.

Same here! I had no idea he had passed away and just saw this thread from doing a search. I really miss his show and was a listener for probably 25 years and remember when he was on both Saturdays and Sundays!

Weekends have never been quite the same.

Largely due to Bob, I was able to retire at 53. with no pension and a paid off mortgage.
